Like every contract, the terms of a mortgage can also be modified.  Mortgage Modification means modifying an existing mortgage to include terms not originally in the mortgage.  This is generally done with the creditor's consent in order to favor the debtor to make the mortgage more affordable for the debtor to pay off dues.  There are also situations where mortgages are modified at the behest of the creditor. Our attorneys can assist you by providing tailor-made solutions to modify your existing mortgages.

Once our team is given relevant contact information and permissions, we will initiate the document intake process. We begin by reviewing any preliminary information that may be passed on to us by the modification agency.

Next, we assemble an individualized script and contact the borrowers via telephone. During the interview process, our team will review and/or confirm each borrower’s financial situation, explain the general process of loan modification, and request any relevant additional documentation needed to process the request with the lender.

Typically, we request bank statements, mortgage statements, pay stubs, tax documents, and any other supporting documents that significantly impact the borrower’s monthly financial situation. Borrowers can conveniently send us this supporting documentation via a US-based fax number, email, or postal mail.
